Mukilteo Loses Key Round Over Paine Field's Growth

A document created in the 1970's known as the Mediated Role Determination or "MRD" contained provisions that some believed imposed restrictions on the use of Paine Field for commercial air service.  A panel of community members and officials met to review the MRD and consider its function in 2006.  The final report concludes that the MRD cannot prevent commercial air service at Paine Field.  Bill Sheets of The Herald provides a summary of the report in this article from May 18, 2007.  Click here to read the article.
