County Council Postpones Resolution

County Council member Kirke Sievers prepared to bring a resolution forward requesting an update of a comprehensive passenger service study on Paine Field performed by Mead Hunt in 2004.  In a Council hearing held December 17, 2007, the resolution was pulled.  Sievers' successor, Brian Sullivan, requested that the resolution be pulled from the agenda, and Sievers complied.  Sullivan begins his term on the Council in 2008.  Term-limits forced Sievers to run for another office.  The Council is expected to take up the issue again sometime in 2008 once the new Council is seated.  Click here for the Herald article by Jeff Switzer and Bill Sheets.  Click here for a copy of the proposed resolution.
